Relax...

Happy Tuesday,

I'm the hostess for this week, over at  Jackson's Digital Expression . Our challenge this week provides a sketch.

The image I used is called Vacation Time by Robert Jackson and I colored her with Copic markers.  The paper is from my stash and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.

As always, our talented design team has provided a little inspiration for you. Please feel free play along and use our sketch, or "Anything Goes".

My Baby

Happy Monday,

Today I don't have a card to post, it's a picture of my baby (PeeWee) sleeping with his baby(a raggedy half stuffed monkey). LOL! The monkey was cute when he first got it. Now it's half stuffed, I've sewed it a few times, and he don't want you to tough it.

I take pictures of him all the time while he sleep because he has some poses for you.  I thought this one was hilarious and thought I'd share it with you. I'm attempting to get back into scrapbooking, so hopefully you will see lots of pictures of him soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

In Loving Memory....

Omega Psi Phi image by Robert Jackson

Two months ago today, I lost my best friend. Walter was my ex-boyfriend, but we remained friends. We talked at least 4 times a week. On May 22nd, we played phone tag. He called me and I missed his call. I called him back and he missed my call. The reason we were missing calls is because we were on the other line and didn't click over. So he sent an email and I responded. He said he'll call me when I got off work. He called at 6pm I missed the call. I called him back at 6:30pm and he didn't answer. By 7pm he was on his way to the hospital and at 9pm he had passed away.  Needless to say I was devasted when his mother called me with the news.  Even though I haven't talked to him in 2 months, I'm actually still in denial.

This past Saturday I was able to finally get myself together enough to put this page together and put it in a 12x12 frame to take to his mother.  As I was working on it, I cried on it. LOL!

One of the main reasons that I try to post cards every day is because he use to always tell me I need to have a supply of cards. He use to sit with me to motivate me to get the cards done. It's another reason that I've joined several design teams, to get as many cards done as possible. He was a true and loyal friend and I miss him so much.

Texting Trixi

Happy Saturday!

As I was blog surfing earlier today, I was on Alice Brown's blog and saw a card she made for a challenge. I bought this image  a few weeks ago and hadn't done anything with it.  Once I saw that challenge I figured why not, it's perfect. :-)  So here it is, Texting Trixi by Mayzy Art.

I use to belong to a couple of monthly scrapbook kit clubs. The kits came faithfully every month, and I would faithfully take them out of the box and just put the baggie with the goodies in a container. Even after moving from the West Coast to the East Coast I never opened them to see what was in them.

Well after 7 years, today I decided to open a couple of them to see what was in there. LOL!  The paper I used on this card is from one of the kits. I love this paper it's called Sweet Confections by Sassafras.  If I has looked at this back then it would probably be a scrapbook page and not a card. :-)

Back on Your Feet

I created this card for one of my sorors. I knew I needed to make a card and I kept putting it off. Then I saw this sketch and said this is simple, let me go ahead and make the card.   I know by the time I put it in the mail I'm sure she'll be up and about and back at work.  She had surgery a couple of weeks ago. I feel so bad about not putting it in the mail immediately after she went home. Hopefully I will mail it tomorrow. I'm terrible about mailing, but eventually I get it done. LOL!

I rarely do masculine cards, but I'm going to start trying to do more of them.  Here is one attempt, and in a way it doesn't seem very masculine to me. :-)  The image is GQ III by Robert Jackson and the paper is from my stash.  I colored him with Prismacolor markers.

This week over at Jackson's Digital Expressions is the Inks & Such Challenge. I hope you'll hop over there and enter your creations into this weeks challenge.

I created a bookmark to enter in the SSD bookmark challenge. Then I saw the freebie for the A Day For Daisies challenge and it was to create Anything But A Card. And...... then I saw the Tag It challenge. :-)  So by looking at them what's the difference? Both of them can be bookmarks or tags.

Hello and welcome to our Summer Fun Mini Hop! The team at Jackson's Digital Expressions, we thought it would be a good idea to use this hop to introduce one of our new sponsors. So, in addition to the six wonderful images from our resident artist, Robert Jackson, you have an opportunity to win an adorable image from Digi Darla.

I used the image Sport Beauty 3, and colored her with Copic markers. The paper and embellishments are from my stash.

Start at Jackson's Digital Expressions, post your entry into the challenge and then begin the hop. If you came here from Jackson's Digital Expressions, you are in the right place. If not please go back and start at the beginning.  Once you leave here you should head over to Sheila.
